Technical Team

Currently, the technical center has over 140 R&D personnel, including engineering exports, senior engineers, visiting scholars and staff with experience of working for overseas famous coach companies. They not only master the first-class development technology of China, but also have long-term experience in coach design, thus forming the nucleus of our efficient design and enabling the development team to design and develop domestic first-class coaches.

 

Means of Technical Development

We have all the software and hardware facilities, and extensively use modern technologies such as CAD/CAS/CAE, CatiaV5, Alias, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros and MSC.Software. Also, we have the major machine tools and test equipments such as motor coach lifters, photoelectric fifth wheel, four-channel multifunctional testers, fuel consumption testers and various measuring sensors. These software and hardware facilities have not only increased the product design level, but also narrowed the gap between China and overseas advanced countries in coach design.

 

Advanced Applications of New Technologies

During the cooperation with international coach enterprises, we constantly assimilated new European and US coach technologies to keep us leading ahead in coach technology. In coach design, we applied advanced technologies and devices earliest, such as three-segment frame, hooped framework, ABS/ASR, hydrodynamic retarder, intake brake, independent suspension and high-class emission. In the process of design, the technologies adopted by us, such as finite element analysis and air suspension design, have reached world standards. We have made breakthroughs in such aspects as dynamic and static mechanics analysis, noise control, wind tunnel test, coach-specific assembly development and electric vehicle design.

 

Classic Design

Early in the 1980s, we had been able to complete the layout design of various systems from chassis to body as the first domestic enterprise capable to design and manufacture both coach chassis and vehicles. Over the decades since turning out the first coach based on a truck chassis in 1957, we have successively developed a lot of famous classic models at home:

 

JT663 coach, the first coach with front-mounted chassis of China;

JS6971 medium-grade rear-mounted inter-city bus, the first inter-city bus equipped with homemade rear-mounted chassis of China;

JT6120 air suspension coach, the first high-grade full-load air suspension coach with independent intellectual property right of China;

JS6820 medium-sized road coach, which has maintained the domestic highest sales record of single model to date;

Yaxing JS6100S double-floor city bus 1997-2002;

JS6139H luxury road coach, which satisfies the design and analysis of 6X2 luxury coaches up to Chinese 3A standards, and was designed and developed in cooperation with LPD, UK. We are the first coach manufacturer with the independent intellectual property right of coaches of this grade of China.
